On the nose, we got marzipan, cinnamon and citrus.

First sips are a deep, date-like sweetness, with notes of cherry and marmalade. Also present : a jammy, plum note.

A really special espresso.

In milk, the chocolate and cinnamon reveal themselves.

Finca Santa Rosa in El Salvador have made a name for themselves through growing some of the highest quality coffees in the country. Owner and second generation producer Jorge Raul Rivera’s commitment and drive for quality has resulted in his continual domination of the Cup of Excellence competitions, coming first in 2014, 2017, and again in 2019.  He’s worked hard to achieve this, attending roasters’ retreats to understand what roasters are looking for, and qualifying as a Q grader.
