India Ghattadahally

Mandarin, white tea, currant

For seven generations and over 200 years, the Uday family has meticulously nurtured Ghattadahally Estate, a 170-acre coffee farm nestled 906 meters high in India’s Chikmagalur District. Situated within the vibrant Western Ghats biodiversity hotspot, the estate specializes in premium, single-origin Arabica and Robusta, grown with a commitment to sustainability with methods such as shade-growing, hand picking and sun-drying.

This coffee has been sourced by the wonderful people of South Indian Coffee Company (SICC), a husband and wife duo who are committed to creating a collaborative supply chain focused on sustainably produced Indian specialty coffee.

We cupped this coffee for the first time in May and have been eagerly awaiting its arrival at the roastery since. It is the first Indian coffee that Alchemy has roasted, with tasting notes of mandarin, white tea and currant, and a tonic-like finish. We are super excited to share this coffee with you!

*Although we make every attempt to have seasonal coffee available to order, occasionally some products  are not available to ship immediately because we are in the process of hand-roasting them.*
