Peru Demetrio Paredes

Blackberry, orange, cacao nibs.

This Bourbon coffee is grown at 2,100 meters above sea level by Demetrio and his family in Callayuc, Cajamarca, Peru. The region’s volcanic soil and highland climate contribute to the coffee’s quality. The best cherries were hand-picked and sorted, then pulped and washed to remove the mucilage, then sundried for 15 days.

Demetrio and his family began producing coffee at El Cerro farm in Callayuc in 2013. Through their cultivation and care, coffee has become a significant contributor to their family’s economy, enabling them to send their children to school. During the harvest season, Demetrio and his wife provide jobs to the local community.

*Although we make every attempt to have seasonal coffee available to order, occasionally some products are not available to ship immediately because we are in the process of hand-roasting them.*
