It is that time of year again – the coffees from our Direct Trade partners in El Salvador have just arrived and we can start to release them.

We are proud to present this exceptional coffee by award-winning producer and long-term partner and friend, Lucia Ortiz. Located between 1,456 – 1,600 masl, La Avila is one of the three smaller farms that make up the wider Las Mercedes farm.

We are honoured to have been trading directly with Lucia since 2015. As well as producing beautiful coffees, Lucia and her family also sponsor a doctor’s station – The Ortiz Dispensario – on the farm, which provides healthcare to people from 11 neighbouring communities.

This coffee is a washed process Bourbon variety. Clean and elegant – the kind of coffee you can drink all day. It’s no surprise that this is a favourite amongst our customers – when it runs out we get emails and texts asking when it is going to be back in the lineup – well, here it is.
