The Elixir Blend represents our quest to showcase fruit flavours in coffee; we roast light to maintain all of the delicate, complex notes the coffees have to offer. Elixir XXXI is a testament to that – vibrantly fruity and complex, with a sweet finish.

 

This coffee is grown by Carlos Mejia at Finca El Chollo, named after his nickname “Chollo.” The farm, located at 1,450 meters above sea level, has 16 hectares of coffee trees and one hectare of citrus fruits. It produces about 400 bags of coffee annually from 65,000 trees. For natural lots, the coffee cherries are left whole and dried for 12-15 days, depending on the weather. Born and raised among coffee trees in Tutule, Carlos now leads the operations at CONEXH – a five-generation family business focused on specialty coffee production, with 10 farms in the Montecillos Sierra region.

 

Elixir works wonderfully on its own as espresso, but can also serve as an excellent base for milk drinks.
